Wikifunctions:Administrators
Administrators are users who hold the sysop user group. There are currently 17 administrators on Wikifunctions.
Overview
Administrators (also known as admins or sysops) are experienced and trusted users who are able to complete maintenance tasks for Wikifunctions to function properly. These tasks include deleting pages, protecting pages, importing pages from other Wikimedia wikis, blocking users and granting users additional user groups.
During the early days of Wikifunctions, they were created by User:DVrandecic (WMF) for a period until the community process was established.

How to request
Users may apply for Adminship at Wikifunctions:Requests for user groups#Administrator.
Requirements
There are currently no local requirements for administrator on WikiFunctions, therefore the requirements listed on Meta-Wiki are in place at the moment. For permanent administrator, these include:
- Allow at least 1 week for discussion at Wikifunctions:Requests for user groups#Administrator.
- There must be at least 5 votes.
- The candidate must obtain at least 80% support.
- Any opposition requires a full discussion.
Granting
Once a request is closed as successful, a request should be posted at Steward requests/Permissions#Administrator access. A steward will then assign the permission, if the granted group is temporary, the permission will be automatically removed without notice after the term expires. If this group term needs to be extended, start a new discussion in advance of expiration.
Technical ability
The sysop user group gives users the technical ability to perform most actions on Wikifunctions. The only notable exceptions to their toolset are specific permissions that only bureaucrats and stewards have or can distribute.
