Moroccan Amazigh (Latin script) (Z1229)

Hi, some time ago you have deleted Moroccan Amazigh (Latin script) (Z1229) but that page has now been recreated by User:WikiLambda system. Was this intended? --Ameisenigel (talk) 19:59, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ameisenigel: Hey there, I deleted the previous one which was a dupe of Z1152/lzh; the new use of the ZID is a different language. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 20:04, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, that makes sense. --Ameisenigel (talk) 20:05, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Revert of my edit

You reverted my edit on Wikifunctions:Eval. I'd like to start with that you called it a "policy". Eval is a draft of an essay, not a policy. I'd assume Wikifunction's local policy on essays would be similar to that of enwiki's, which is that "Essays that the author does not want others to edit, or that are found to contradict widespread consensus, belong in the user namespace." What was before was badly worded, used full caps, and was just all around bad. Essays are opinions of users and non-binding. Please revert your edit. @Oqwd3892: Hi there. I actually reverted Feeglgeef's edit. Is that you as well? Please only edit with one account. As I said, please take your proposal to the Wikifunctions:Project chat. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 20:07, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes. I have 2 different devices, and my browser's password manager is really annoying. I don't see a need to discuss an essay on Wikifunctions:Project chat, because it's non-binding. My edit followed the original intent of the author, who has been inactive for quite a bit. Oqwd3892 (talk) 20:10, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Oqwd3892: I fear that with attitude, you are not here to be productive. You edited a document drafted by a community member reflecting a warning from us that people must not use eval and if they did they'd be blocked from editing.
I note also for example that you also just wrongly edited this week's status update, which I've also undone. I'd recommend some more active use of talk pages ahead of editing. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 20:13, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • The original essay did not mention blocking at all.
  • The week's status update was incorrect

From enwiki's policy: "You do not have to have created an essay to improve it. If an essay already exists, you can add to, remove from, or modify it as you wish, provided that you use good judgment." Oqwd3892 (talk) 20:13, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Oqwd3892: This is not the English Wikipedia. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 20:13, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I understand that. I'm using it because:
  • There is no local policy.
  • Meta-wiki links to it as policy.

@Oqwd3892: I strongly recommend you slow down and discuss first. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 20:17, 1 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
