From Wikifunctions

Per http://brainfuck.org/ and the description on the item itself, released under CC-BY-SA 4.0 which is not compatible with CC0. --DannyS712 (talk) 03:37, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

Sidenote/reminder, per site-footer "All code fragments and implementations in the main namespace are available under the Apache 2.0 License." -- I don't know if this affects the deletion nomination though. Hope that helps. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 15:13, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
@Quiddity (WMF) the warning when publishing is that you release things under CC0 not Apache 2 DannyS712 (talk) 15:40, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
For function-definitions it warns about CC0, but for function-implementations it warns for Apache 2. (I checked! (imgur link)). :-) Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 16:07, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
Oh I didn't realize that different things were under different licenses, neat! Either way its a different license and I'm not a lawyer DannyS712 (talk) 17:47, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, I did a check myself on the compatibility between cc4.0 and Apache2.0 before I deleted, it was a bit of a grey zone from my quick read, therefore I deleted considering 1: Grey zones are best to be avoided where possible. 2: The description of the object included cc4.0 licence when created and 3: the title in general indicated that it probably shouldn't be used therefore I deleted for copyvio. Related to the same natural language. --Wolverène (talk) 08:01, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

P.S. I am also not sure it is a good idea to distinguish between Southern Min language and Standard Chinese spoken in the Minnan region, it was hardly assumed by those who assigned the codes. --Wolverène (talk) 08:06, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
Ping @Quiddity (WMF): since you have been able to help with a similar request. --Ameisenigel (talk) 15:44, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. I've added a note to phab:T348370 about this. Please postpone the deletion here, for now. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 20:03, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
The BCP 47 language tag zh-min-nan always mean the "Minnan language".
It NEVER means "Standard Chinese spoken in the Minnan region".
It's deprecated in favor of nan.

Ping @Quiddity (WMF) . -- Winston Sung (talk) 06:13, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
@Winston Sung Thanks, I'll pass it on to the dev team. Sannita (WMF) (talk) 07:50, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
@Quiddity (WMF): Thanks. I already saw the updates to Z1221 and Z1501 but haven't see the creation of Z1922. -- Winston Sung (talk) 17:14, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
(Hi Winston Sung! Just a quick note that @Sannita (WMF) is now the primary contact for Wikifunctions & Abstract Wikipedia. Please ping him instead of me for all future needs. Thanks!) Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 18:29, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
(Thanks for the information.) -- Winston Sung (talk) 18:45, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
@Winston Sung: Please do not bypass the development process, but let us do this properly. Your patch has landed in the upstream repo but is not available in production yet, as it was only pulled into the development branch yesterday, and will go out to production next week. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 13:49, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
Oh, thanks for the explaination for the development process. -- Winston Sung (talk) 16:55, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
@Winston Sung: Now deployed! Sorry it takes so long. Jdforrester (WMF) (talk) 16:12, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
(No longer need to request deletion or updates to existing ZObjects, mark as resolved.) -- Winston Sung (talk) 16:57, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
