„Diffs are ugly”
I think that the JSON is not ugly, it is more clear than the „nice” data display. Zalán Hári talk page Let's edit! 03:23, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
What links here
This is available only for pages, not for objects in the Main namespace. Presumably there is a ticket to cover this, but searching for “links” on Phabricator is pretty pointless! Can you help @Sannita (WMF)? GrounderUK (talk) 12:41, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- @GrounderUK I'm not sure I understood what is the problem, can you be more precise? Sannita (WMF) (talk) 12:42, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- In Tools under General, the “What links here” tool will tell you which Wikifunctions pages link to this one. There is no such tool for a “page” in the Main namespace like Object (Z1). I assume there is a Phabricator ticket to do something about this (I know it’s hard) but I can’t find the ticket (if it exists) because “links” is too common a word in Phabricator. (Or I don’t know how its search works. I get nothing for “What links here” and “everything” if I don’t use quotation marks.) It’s not urgent, it’s just that I noticed it’s not mentioned on the Status page. Thank you for your speedy reply. GrounderUK (talk) 12:57, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
Update phab:T345457 suggests a workaround for links to objects from pages not in the Main namespace, so I’ll add it into there when I have the time.
- @GrounderUK much clearer now, I'll ask around if there's any news on that ticket and let you know as soon as possible. --Sannita (WMF) (talk) 13:45, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- That appears to have been done now, thank you. However, although the “What links here” tool is now available, it does not show links between object “pages”. I think this was done under phab:T284694, which is closed as “resolved”, so should I raise this as a bug report? GrounderUK (talk) 08:05, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- @GrounderUK yes, please, just to be sure. Sannita (WMF) (talk) 14:56, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
