- Hello! This is my second RFA, so I'll try to summarize the points from my first request. I'd like to become a sysop to help with the regular administrative work that is required to run Wikifunctions, especially given that, by the time this closes, we will only have 2 community administrators. I think I'm in good standing with most of the community, and I think I have made significant improvements on the feedback given to me during my last RFA. If not, please let me know where I should improve. Thanks! Feeglgeef (talk) 23:11, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'd like to withdraw this, with Mdaniels5757 applying for renewal below I'm confident enough that my adminship is not needed as of now. Thanks! Feeglgeef (talk) 16:27, 11 December 2024 (UTC)

- Hi! I'd like to request renewal of my adminship and interface adminship. I am still not the most active here, but I hope to continue to be trusted with the tools so I can continue helping by making interface changes and deletions where needed. (Links to previous requests for convienence: 1 (by decree), 2). Best, —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 16:18, 11 December 2024 (UTC)

- @Feeglgeef I actually have, see https://www.wikifunctions.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AContributions&target=Mdaniels5757&namespace=8&tagfilter=&start=&end=&limit=50. Edits to .css and .js pages in the MediaWiki namespace, and edits to MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition all require interface adminship. —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 03:42, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, ok, will change again. Feeglgeef (talk) 03:56, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition does not, but CSS and JS require interface admin. --Ameisenigel (talk) 21:19, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Ameisenigel The MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition page is actually a bit unique among wikitext pages in the MediaWiki namespace. Per [1], editing the page is limited to users with "editsitecss, editsitejs" permission. I'm not sure if it requires just one of the two, or both, but per Special:ListGroupRights, only interface admins have either of those rights locally.
- (Ordinary gadget pages, like MediaWiki:Gadget-popups, are treated as normal wikitext pages in the MediaWiki namespace, which, as you note, can be edited by sysops and interface-admins). —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 03:26, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Interesting, thank you for the explanation. --Ameisenigel (talk) 07:08, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

Oppose you haven't stated why you'd like the group. Will likely change if you provide a reason. Thanks! Feeglgeef (talk) 21:10, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
Oppose You do not need this right to translate things --Ameisenigel (talk) 21:20, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

Feeglbot
For maintenance tasks from time to time or execution of a list of very-small-human-intervention edits. This is quite broad, so I will notify on the project chat with specifics at least 48 hours before doing anything with it. It will require functioneer. Feeglgeef (talk) 04:26, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- This seems too broad to me. What do you plan to do with it first? —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 20:57, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- The two things I was thinking of are:
- Adding tests faster, it's hard to do it with the UI (especially for Z21053)
- Replacing Rational number as float (Z20854) calls with literal rational number inputs as proper floats
- and more should they come about. Feeglgeef (talk) 21:03, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- The second bullet seems like a good bot task to me. For the first bullet, if you're coming up with the testcases yourself, I think using whatever script you would use for the bot on your main account would be better than using a dedicated bot account. —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 04:14, 4 January 2025 (UTC)

- The two things I was thinking of are:
Oppose I do not trust someone who has abused their sysop rights to run a bot --Ameisenigel (talk) 14:26, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I only abused them because they wouldn't remove them smfh. Feeglgeef (talk) 14:54, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I literally got indeffed from meta, it was my only option. Feeglgeef (talk) 14:55, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- I only abused them because they wouldn't remove them smfh. Feeglgeef (talk) 14:54, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
Oppose No. Abuse is not an option. A declined request could be contested differently, and as @Ameisenigel says, I am also not fine in trusting someone who abuses tools like this. Regards, Aafi (talk) 17:10, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- for one, I only blocked one person for a few minutes, and I couldn't contest it as the person I blocked indeffed me on meta. Feeglgeef (talk) 18:32, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- You twice blocked SHB2000 with weird edit-summaries for an indefinite period of time. They were both the times unblocked by a steward. Regards, Aafi (talk) 18:44, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Yes they only lasted a few minutes I just wanted them to desysop me and no harm was done and I'm desysoped now but you keep talking about abuse when I was just doing it because I needed to. Feeglgeef (talk) 18:47, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

Not done Bot operator lacks a suitable temperament for this advanced permisison. —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 04:46, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
