I have already developed a few implementations, and it was suggested that I join the Functioneer user group to gain higher user rights in order to allow me to independently connect and disconnect functions, test cases, and implementations. Although I am new to the Wiki ecosystem and do not have much experience in Wiki editing, I have experience in Python and JavaScript coding and can contribute to developing functions here.

After attending Wikifunctions tutorial at Wikimania 2024, I would like to apply for functioneer status to test functions. John Samuel 13:10, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi, I've currently created 5 functions along with their implementations and some test cases. I understand how Wikifunctions work. While I can't promise to use these rights actively on others' contributions, I will try when I know that the implementation and/or test cases of others need my attention. At least, I know when my functions are ready to help reduce the workload for other users. Thanks! Aram (talk) 18:09, 10 August 2024 (UTC)

I've tried to write a function. I had to connect it and disconnect it several times. I plan to create a few more. Several people on Telegram suggested that I get the functioneer right to do it more efficiently myself. Thank you. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 14:54, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

Please see phab:T370842 and wikipedia:Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard#Bot_to_inform_temp_users_of_expiry for context. I expect this to run this bot on many wikis, and hence filing near-identical requests for them. Leaderboard (talk) 07:20, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

Could you perform some test edits (either here or on another wiki)? --Ameisenigel (talk) 16:58, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
This will take some time as I haven't yet finished the bot (partially to see if communities have any special requests or needs). I'll ping you when that's possible. Leaderboard (talk) 06:08, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
@Ameisenigel: While coding is not complete, here's a test edit. Note however that the message is enwiki-specific and will be a bit more generalised for this wiki. Leaderboard (talk) 12:03, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
Looks good to me. --Ameisenigel (talk) 13:16, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
@Ameisenigel: can I start running the bot on this wiki then? Leaderboard (talk) 13:57, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
Yes --Ameisenigel (talk) 14:27, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
@Leaderboard: Is it possible to merge the notice in cases like User talk:Ebrahim? --Ameisenigel (talk) 17:39, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
Hi @Ameisenigel: not at the moment, but this is planned for a future update. Leaderboard (talk) 17:47, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
@Leaderboard: Do you need a bot flag or is autopatrol enough? --Ameisenigel (talk) 15:29, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
@Ameisenigel:, autopatrol is enough (if you think it is needed); the bot flag is not required. Leaderboard (talk) 15:33, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

Good day. I'd like to request an extension of my TA rights that will be expiring tomorrow. Will be using it for minor cleanup as and when it is required. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 06:55, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
Per policy you can extend them yourself until the end of your regular adminship. Still Support Support of course --Ameisenigel (talk) 16:56, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
Policy doesn't allow a temp admin to extend their rights indefinitely, so it'll still expire by the end of the month anyways --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 02:11, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
