Flatten by or flatten to?

The tests and implementations seem to flatten by a number of levels rather than to a specified depth, but the description suggests the latter. (I think of flattening by levels to a depth, so “depth” would be “number of levels to flatten by”, if I read it right.) GrounderUK (talk) 17:31, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

I think the description/aliases should be changed to match the tests. Flattening "by" serves as a limit on recursion depth, which makes sense from a FP standpoint. YoshiRulz (talk) 20:29, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
