Return type

Once numeric types are available, I suppose we’ll deprecate this function (which returns a string) in favor of one returning some kind of natural or integer number type. unicode length

is this meant to be in-memory size (in bytes) or a character count? or is it meant to encompass the "naive" choice for various languages? Fbstj (talk) 12:56, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
